first post

I meant to start this blog last week, but I procrastinated, and one thing led to another.

Last year I started a blog: insomniac by day, it failed since I only posted 12 times, and then gave up as I had to start studying. So we try again this year.

I'm a college student, and have started on my masters thesis this year. Good news is that I find it pretty intersting and can't wait to start experimenting (currently I'm performing a literature study, which I have to say, is fairly boring.) however, I'm learning new things.

The sad thing, is that the thing I dreaded, came to be: I have to be present at the lab where I perform my thesis, every day from 9 am untill 6 pm. Since I only take one other couse this year, which promisses to be 52 hours. I'll be spending a lot of my time in that lab, that I had hoped to be spending in my dormroom trying to do other things then working on my thesis.

So, what was I planning of working on then? Well, I like movies a lot, also, I try to keep up with the news, and read a few books, all of which takes up time, and on top of that, I like to play poker. Last year I went from having 7$ to having 270$, at which point I cashed 70$. This year I want to reach 1500$, since then, I should be able to make some money of it next year (when I hope to be working.)

I had intended to play a lot of poker (2.5$ 180man turbo MT SNG's for a start) but due to me being occupied between 9AM and 6PM, that's not going to be possible. However, I've found that it's possible to play one session of 6 SNG's a night, and have some time left. So I'll be playing these untill I've reached 450$ or more likely, untill I've played 100 tournaments profitably. In the latter (and most likely) case. I'll upgrade to playing 8 per session.

As for reading, I just finished reading the harry potter series (which I somehow missed when I was at the right age to be reading this sort of books) and have just started in "Catcher in the Rye". I've only read a few pages, but so far I like it. It reminds me strongly of "On the Road" by Kerouac.

That'l be it for today.
